Making Leather Bracelets

Australian adventures. Episode 1

soles of wind.

Tuesday, June 18, 2007. 21:30. The flight EK76 to Sydney via Dubai and Bangkok tears me gently gravity Paris, leaving in its trail reactors the ruins of a school year unfinished. Escorting thirty students across the world to enable them to improve their English gives me the opportunity to leave my office more than two weeks before the official date. Horny books, red pens chewed, crumpled handouts and even a few copies that I will never shovel are now stored in meddling back of a closet. Regarding the contents of my locker, it will rot over five weeks in the trunk of my twingo dented, between an oil can and a pair of old smelly sneakers. All this crap does not deserve better and I unfortunately did not have time to organize an auto-da-fe on the floor of my living room.

I feel the soul of a deserter.

While we are moving quickly to altitude I witness the disappearance of the Paris area under a thick veil of night sprinkled millions of tiny white stars, red and gold. This monumental spider power, extended to infinity under my feet, artificial galaxy woven by the hand of man, calls me. How many millions of people, stuck in this trap, luminous finish at this hour of dinner, watching TV or s'affalent play with baby. The most vicious probably send each face up to their smiling PVC favorite TV presenter. How scan the sky for a spinning machine to a destination where they can only dream of? How?
Tired of stretching the neck over the shoulder of my neighbor I looked away from the window fogged up now. We quickly pierce cloud cover and therefore there is nothing left. Nothing, except a huge void and black, against which the little flashing light placed in equilibrium at the wing tip device delivers a losing battle. Suspended in nothingness, rocked by the powerful hum of the machine and plunged into a dark blue semi-calming passengers off one by one into silence in this strange air mausoleum. Sleep eventually grab me in the neck and I fall to my turn, joining the army recumbent religiously guarded by a handful of priestesses of Emirates Airline club. It is

sunrise as we landed in Dubai. Distracted by the noise level inside the unit I have not managed to capture the information issued by the English captain. I spent the first part of the trip was dozing between two meal trays and my neurons are reduced to the status of oatmeal soaked in warm milk. Totally out of touch, even having no clear idea of the time, I quickly gather my things, checks for my passport and my ticket crumpled in the inside pocket of my jacket just as wrinkled and encourages students the slowest to activate. Guided by a hedge of pink smiling hostesses, I rush to the exit of the device by sending a few "bye bye" to the crew. My principle of never interested too close to the air hostesses. Make a charm to a girl who watched you sleeping mouth open, a trickle of drool staining your chin is a challenge I do not want to meet before my seventy-nine years old.

While the sun is barely up, the desert breathes its hot breath on our faces and into our lungs still saturated with air conditioning. The stream of passengers flowing quickly through the door of the unit and pushes us towards a minibus stop on the tarmac. That we must conduct within the Dubai Airport, the Pantheon and the flashy flashy. Designed by Emirs anxious to display their considerable fortune in the eyes of a world that does not care, all evidence of a vain desire to dazzle at any cost ... including that of bad taste. From one end to another in this gigantic mall on the open gate, lined with rows of palm trees lit artificial Christmas trees like a flying saucer suspended above the heads of passengers in transit, some brand new race cars clog the aisle and dozens of shops line up too wise to attract tourists looking for MP3 players, cigarettes, gaming consoles, perfumes, socks or sports magazines of all kinds. We spend more than a half to wander aimlessly while waiting for our next shipment. Australia is still so far!

That night that this time we land in Bangkok for a short stopover. I imagine flying over the airport lit streets teeming life of this Mecca of sex tourism in which many Europeans wander too rich, dick in hand, looking for a fresh meat too often. I am sad to see this beautiful country reduced to a cliche so depressing. Thailand finally I see a long, cold hallway illuminated with neon lights, some shops closed, a group of hostesses at fixed smile and a cast of unsympathetic customs on their arrogance after the strap on their gun. One of them confiscated the bottle of wine from a student who has not had the presence of mind to leave the unit. We are fighting in vain but the French grand cru fails with a crash into a large metal container. Game over!

The aircraft slid for hours above the great Pacific. Between films in original version which I understand only half of the dialogues and some phases of sleepiness, I observe length animated map projected onto the small screen embedded in the headrest in front of me. The progression of this aircraft seems so slow ... so slow! Yet somewhere between the sky and water, I know we have finally crossed the big mirror, one that propels us to this moment to the land of opposites. The land of possibilities.

While we were gone on a Saturday evening in Paris, the wheels finally touch the device to the first Australian soil lights the following Monday. In the corridor that connects the camera to the airport we passed a small army of young women ready to clean the appliance as soon as we'll finally evacuated. When they realize that we are French and their eyes linger detail this exotic arrivals. The cackling joy that rises then gives me the pleasant feeling of landing in Sydney rock star. Certainly my groupies are a dozen maids wearing a pink uniform rather prominent but who cares. This is an encouraging start. I corrected my hair reflexively undermined by twenty four hours and tingles to the cheering crowd. Oily hair for a rock star is not in tune?

On the airport car park I aspire my first breath and remember some Australian shiver when the winter air, cool and wet brushes my face and into my clothes too lightweight for the season.

Labeled Cessna Cockpit

He went through here, that again ...

For nearly a year since my blog is abandoned. Time flies and I do not run fast enough to follow his pace.
From time to time I enter here pilgrim and taste the tip of the lashes few digital memories. I'm finally happy enough to have held this journal that receives few visitors daily. Rereading some random items, some faces, evolved into mere masks fog of uncertain form, emerging from oblivion. The voices were cowardly deserted my memory.
The Unexpected Mrs. B. disappeared in full during the school year ... vanished, absorbed and digested by the course of time. From September a new teacher took over. The thin trail of sulfur that was planted behind it quickly dissipated, giving way to resentment in some regrets about to disappear in their turn. The poor has finally JC flew to other lands. The memories I have of him fade away gradually.
Other players have not broken the thread. The sweet Lily throne still in its virtual citadel. Doors and walls have nearly sell ... but fate has decided otherwise. One day maybe ... Meanwhile we may contact us by phone conversations for very wise.
Miss A. remains a friend I see from time to time. Very recently we spent an evening together. Cinema, restaurant, drink at my apartment. I ride home at 4:30 am at his home. I tried to make him understand that I wanted build anything with it but I do not think I have worn the right way.

When I look back on these last two years (my first article of December 2005) it is rather very positive. I now have an apartment which I am also no longer a tenant but the owner (it was sold three months after my move). I am no longer "prof. Substitute "but" certified teacher ". The final validation should theoretically be formalized later this year. After five years of hard trying to win that damn contest I must confess that I feel now released a very heavy weight. I now have a decent salary and a guaranteed job for life which allows me to look to the future with serenity.

2006-2007 school year was also marked by numerous meetings. Friendships, flirting, "one night stand" ... If I'm brave I'll tell you all this one day.

I'm flying next Saturday for my Eldorado: Sydney ... On the other side of the world I will maybe say hello. ... And who knows .... can be at my back the urge to write will be stronger than my incredible laziness.

I greet you all very low and thank you for your loyalty and support you gave me in my reading.

PS: Here's a little bonus gift ... a little poem down on paper by a fantomeopera very tired that day (after two days spent with two lovely ladies). It makes me smile when I share, but you did promise ... for the good of humanity I drop poetry!

Nothing.
No words. No sentences.
Sweet little airflow
freezing my head resting neurons,
Probably a worry ... Delco. I react straight away
my laziness and driving at night
Towards the ancestral Boredom City. Digging my
faretti
A wide tunnel wan. Through

tight lines of an army of cypress.
The carpet of bitumen takes place at infinity
Black ribbon tattooed insignia yellow.
runway, yes! But Take-off
prohibited.
Forbidden, I was told!
well ... And I obey.

I remain earthbound
Chained, put in irons.
was told he had to fight, struggling and kicking

But the forces I miss
Am I finally a branque poor?

Twenty fingers long and thin. Four small breasts

Two drops kidneys.
But in the end.
Nothing ....

Homedepo Welding Goggles

In the big ... Ecce homo

Maybe you remember my three main resolutions taken at the beginning of the year: find an apartment (obtained in November), unhook my help and breaking celibacy.

June 19, 2006 Today the most important of these resolutions come to fruition.
I am admitted to a competition that makes me a real owner (well almost ... I still have paperwork to fill sensitive and one year probation to be successful ... I hope that everything will be okay because obstacle course is not quite finished).

remains the third resolution ... and there is not won ...

Gallon Of Milk A Day Dangerous

"Ecce homo" is a post written last Thursday. I did not want to put it online but I forgot the reasons for this reluctance. So here ...

Ecce homo

standing near the cash register, waiting for my turn.
I hold in my hands a small transparent container with a few lettuce leaves. This reality seems suddenly so grotesque that, while listening to the insipid chatter of the two previous clients for me, I leave escape my mind.
I think my state of Rights:

Ecce homo.

so many millions of years of evolution to achieve this result shocking ...
On reflection I have not changed much since the days when I traveled on foot, hunched, the lands of Africa. The posture is certainly right, but the needs are the same: Eat, sleep, kiss. The order does not matter.
The world, it has changed.

In progress we revere all, we need comfort and safety.
Comfort and Safety ...
promised freedom, true, we are still waiting.

The greatest progress that I recognize is the lengthening of life expectancy. Should we
yet we rejoice? We are seeing more and more time at our inevitable decay, see our skin wilt, soften our bodies and our mental abilities inevitably decline.
Worse! We see, powerless, those we love, grow old and die at our feet. So we read in their eyes our own fear, our own end.

How many of us go out slowly, bedridden in a hospital claim, contemplating, day after day, the nice ass young nurses that we have the strength to honor? While passing on our tongues dry our toothless gums, then we vomirons this progress to longer term to our uselessness.

Ecce homo.

Back in my home, well away from my four walls, I eat this salad tastes without before I log on the net, one of many virtual channels of my prison Hi-Tech, this modern prison where I eat plastic and no more kisses.

Definitely my first African man is not far away.
Ecce homo
